Osteopaths and all children-care professionnals disapprove the use of baby bouncers

Children naturally develop their motor skills from the moment they start to move if they are neither restrained nor fast-tracked in their development. Baby bouncers prevent children’s natural development. In particular, they reduce the amount of weight the child bears on their legs. This weight is essential in allowing the bone structures to grow correctly through the generated compression. Osteopaths, as well as all early childhood professionals disapprove of the use of baby bouncers. The General Council of Val-de-Marne has produced the following documents to demonstrate the risks of using a baby bouncer:
